As soon as this hit my inbox I was excited. For many reasons. Mainly three: 1 - Every rework from these guys is always a total banger. 2: Daft Punk, not much more to say there. 3: The Weeknd is definitely worth a listen on his own right with his beautiful gangster rap as I like to call it. All three combine to make this one the most worthy thing you listen to today.

So simple. It's almost too easy. Daft Punk. Snowboarding. Done. Well, I guess not technically Daft Punk. But you can't honestly tell me you saw that dude in the L.E.D. jump suit and you and didn't think of Daft Punk. Fact. Right? Well, this is certainly a visually stunning video. I personally would have liked to have seen Travis Rice hooked up in this suit, but hey, the concept is cool on it's own right. I will also say that I was impressed to see this dude in the woods. I mean I thought it was tame until he hit the glades, that was pretty cool.
After a much hyped and blah release of the Tron soundtrack, I'm still starved for some fresh Daft Punk. This will have to do for now, an unreleased track from 1994 as part of Soma Records' 20th anniversary. We can only hope and wait for a new album and world tour.
I swear I write about other robots than Daft Punk. But one day we won't be talking about Daft Punk. And that will be a sad day. The album is out. Tron comes out in 9 days. I cannot wait.
I've had a full couple of days to digest this album and am only now prepared to share my thoughts. I have to come this conclusion: It's really quite a masterpiece. It took me a while to come to grips with the fact that it was not going to be an album about other worldly synths and laser beams; but rather Daft Punk having their way with a 100 piece orchestra. And having a blast with it. They traded the synths for strings, horns and timpani drums and the result is a soundtrack that makes the most menial task seem like the most important mission you've ever accepted. Getting on the subway while listening to tron could quite possibly be the most intense experience you will ever have. Anything with tron = epic. Try crossing the street listening to 'Rinzler'. I dare you.
For those of you who couldn't access the entire album last week. I give you a taste of what we are talking about here. This is not your typical Daft Punk. It actually is a soundtrack to a major motion picture. And for better or worse, must be listened to accordingly.
It has begun. The Godfathers are emerging from their underground lair. And with them, they are bringing some dope synths. Here were get an unlikely collaboration between Pharrell and the boys at N.E.R.D. Daft Punk and Nero. The end result: Nothing short of awesome. Textbook robot rock with some dubstep and Pharrell's squeaky falsetto mesh for a borderline facemelt. Enjoy.
Daft Muthafuckin Punk. I have not even had a chance to listen to it. That's is how important this is. I just needed to get it out there as soon as possible. Let's call that ASAP. I don' thave to stress to you the importance of this album. You get it. We've all been waiting for it. Check it out. And make sure to check it out in 3D when it comes out. I'm like a kid trying to fall asleep on Christmas Eve. Santa's coming!
Three years. That’s how long it’s been since Daft Punk has performed live. Until last night, when they came out with Phoenix at MSG. Face Melt. I cannot even begin to type. So I’ll just leave it at that. God Bless America er, France.
Holy Sh*t. I can't say much else because my face melted off. Tough to beat the Godfathers at their own song, but Parisian remix master AlphaBreak may have just done that. Please God, just let the whole Tron soundtrack come out and ensuing worldwide tour. I'd literally give up a limb to see them.
So, we here at the most definitely have a thing for daft punk. And when I say a thing, I mean a big fucking thing. So when we found out that the entire score of "Tron" had been leaked, we freaked. So much so that I couldn't post it until now. We've been listening straight through the weekend. And we apologize for not getting it to you sooner. But shit happens when you party naked.
Now people are going back and forth as to the legitimacy of these new tracks. But it almost doesn't matter because they are pretty much amazing regardless of who produced them. So, I'm going to hope it's daft punk and even if it's not, whoever did produce them should come forward. So, without further ado, we present, 10 minutes of brand fucking new daft punk or something like it. And that's fun. And maybe your Monday will be a little bit better with that. This is basically a one track mix of all of snippets of the entire score for the film. It's such a teaser but it's better than nothing and it sounds like they've come out of the lab with some solid new face melting material.

Nobody rocks like robots. That's what I always say. So, from the moment I heard the first synth kick on this track, I knew I'd be rocking like a robot. I have to be honest, I had never really heard much about Grum until about 20 minutes ago, but I like it. Grum is a Scottish electro producer and has banging out remixes for some high profile artists for the past few years. But, now he's got his first full length album and from what I've heard so far I like it. I hear some Justice in there, and I can catch a taste of some Daft Punk in there too, and i like that. You should like it too, if you like to rock like a robot that is.
OK. Maybe MGMT has been played out. I get that. But, what about a mash up between Bob Marley, Daft Punk and MGMT? Can't think that you've heard that yet. Anyway, this is not incredibly new, but it's new to me and most likely you too. So I'm gonna call this a throwback. Very well done all around. So, there's that.
so, i haven't seen the movie 'tron'. but i do know that it was a cult classic made in the early 80's (favorite decade) involving computer mainframes, jeff bridges, kid napping, and technology taking over human life. well, it kind of sounds like the matrix, except 20 years before the matrix.
anyways, the wizards over at disney are making a sequel to 'tron' and guess who's doing the entire sound track: yup, daft fucking punk. so, i'd like to thank the cool intern at disney who threw the idea out there and i'd like to thank the execs for listening and making an unbelievable decision to go with daft punk. talk about audio/visual overload. i cannot wait.
