Germany Germany - Stockholm Feat. Kotomi

So the long awaited album is finally out. Drew Harris has released his latest masterpiece. Drew Harris has called it his most unusual album, jumping from one genre to the next. The one thing I will say is that every track I have had the chance to listen to has been superb. It came out yesterday and is available for $5. Drew Harris of Germany Germany has a bright future ahead of him. I'm absolutely loving this track and I'm excited to hear where he takes us with the rest of his album. It's due out July 16th.

Here's a new video from Drew Harris, the man behind Germany Germany, for his new single: Departure, which was featured a while back here on the site, but now we've got a nice shiny video to share too. Check it out. His album, Blank Mind, Empty Heart is due out in July. I can't wait to hear what else he has up his sleeve.

Germany Germany - Departure & Disconnect

Today is a exciting day. We had the pleasure of waking up to this little gem in our inbox. Drew Harris of Germany Germany fame is back from a self imposed hiatus. And he's got some tricks up his sleeve. We've got a couple tracks off his forthcoming album: Blank Mind Empty Heart for a little tease. I am thoroughly enjoying both tracks although Departure is more immediate. It has that dreamy, ethereal feel to it that instantly wisps you  away to another place and time. I'm not quite sure what place and time it is, but it's comfortable and warm. Perfect for a chilly February Sunday.

Disconnect, on the other hand, makes you work for it. You've got to really listen. You won't be immediately drawn in like you are with Departure but you'll earn it though, and it's worth the wait as it builds and collects itself for a bold finish. Both tracks are beautiful in their own right. So please, give a listen and check out Germany Germany's bandcamp:

Reminds me of the Postal Service. Beautiful tune. Germany Germany is the project of Drew Harris, a Victoria, British Columbia native who has been churning out tracks since 2009 under the moniker. Take Me Home certainly has a cinematic vibe to it. In my bio-pic, this would be the song when I'm sprinting in the rain after a girl. So deep.
