The Rapture - In The Grace of Your Love

Better late than never. Stream it up! Funny how things work. James Murphy was once quoted as saying that he started LCD Soundsystem to fill the void left when the Rapture went on hiatus. Now LCD Soundsystem is gone, and The Rapture is back. Talk about full circle. Twisted fate.

The Rapture - How Deep Is Your Love (Emperor Machine Remix Edit)

By Joe Housel - So The Rapture have a new album coming out: In The Grace of Your Love, September 6th after a 5-year hiatus. The bassist, Matt Safer, left a few years ago and considering he was the vocalist on 50% of the tracks, it will be interesting to see how they perform as a three piece live act at the Music Hall of Williamsburg on August 20th. Anyway, they released a remix of their first single last week through the the Adult Swim Single Series. The Rapture was one of my more favorite bands back from 2003-2006 so I'm really excited for their comeback.

The song definitely feels more like their debut album, Echoes, with a harrowing vibe that blends a little The Cure with Gang of Four. Definitely a lot more funk in this remix which never hurts on the awkward, white kid NYC dance floors.
