I'm Not Prepared To Discuss Girl Talk

If anybody finds a face at Terminal 5, it could be mine. Cause mine definitely melted off.

I could write a review here. But honestly, I can't figure out how to sum it up. Just coconuts. I mean, his energy is infectious and unstoppable. Within seconds of him going on stage it was flooded. I honestly can't even begin to process it. I just know it was awesome. Total dance party. Top shelf really.

MNDR - Cut Me Out

I really love this girl. MNDR is just fantastic. She's graced us with her presence before.  And she does not disappoint here either. With an aggressive synth and driving beat she gets it done. Love it.

The Chemical Brothers - Dissolve

Haven't heard from these guys in a while. But they have certainly been around for quite some time. Tony CoffeeCakes brought to my attention that this album was indeed: most dope. So I went back to the archive and found another gem worth putting up, even if you have already heard it before. So I present you with The Chemical Brothers' - Dissolve. Enjoy. Just solid. Not much of a better way to sum it up.

The Chemical Brothers - Dissolve

And here's a little remix by the Bloody Beatroots which happens to be absurd too.

Gotye - Eyes Wide Open

This reminds me of that song Let Go by Frou Frou from the Garden State soundtrack. Remember the movie with Zack Braff? Whatever happened to him anyway?. Anyways, it's certainly got some heart and soul to it. Not a typical TMD jam, but a quality cut none the less. I feel like this song would have done well in an episode of the O.C. Yep. That's an O.C. reference. That's a first.Anyways, check it out. You'll get all introspective.

Sleigh Bells - Rill Rill (Clique NewTrends Remix)

I used to be a skeptic. I thought Sleigh Bells was a flash in the pan. I'm the first to admit I was wrong. They have grown on me. That noise rock works. And  I really like this take on Sleigh Bells' Rill Rill. It's fresh, with clean lines and solid guitar going on. The original is damn good too, but I like this take on it. The break down at the 3:23 mark is solid and it's a cross between some 70's disco and I don't even know what. Whatever it is, it works.  I'm going to throw in the original in too, cause it's that good in case you haven't heard it yet. Enjoy.

Back To The Future - Irina Werning

A very cool project by Irina Werning. Taking old photos and their subjects, revisiting and recreating them decades later. The results are rather interesting. Check out more here: Irina Werning - Back to the Future

The Art of Flight - Teaser

So a couple of years ago Travis Rice teamed up with Brain Farm Cinema to produce the golden standard for modern day snowboarding films. The film was titled "That's It, That's All" - a quote from Jeremy Jones after a pristine run down a gnarly spine in Valdez. It took them two years to complete, and the result was nothing short of stunning.

Well, they are deep into production of their follow up which will be released two years later with the appropriate title: "The Art of Flight". If anybody knows anything about going big, it's Travis Rice. This will undoubtedly be the season's most anticipated film. And I expect nothing short of brilliance. With a team of riders who know no limits and Brain Farm, who's cinematography and approach to filming is rivaled by none, it should be a moderately epic production to say the least.

Wolf Gang - Dancing With The Devil

Wolf Gang has a new album coming out soon. This is the first single. It's good.

Kid Cudi - She Came Along (Feat. Sharam)

Holy sh*t! I don't know how I missed this. This week is dedicated to beautiful things that have passed us by. And this is no exception. Anyway, Mr. Rager himself just gets downright silly here. Flowing over some old school Patsy Cline. Are you kidding me? It's actually amazing how well it works. And daps to Sharam for putting this all together in a pretty little package.  Have you people heard this? Cause I had not. I shall say 12 Hail Mary's for my penance. What will you do?

Beach Fossils - Youth

Saw these guys at Brooklyn Bowl on Friday. Pitchfork said it best when describing their sound: They sound exactly what you think a band named Beach Fossils from Brooklyn would sound like. But, they're good. Not new at all, but new to me. I brushed them aside until I saw them live, now I believe. And they put on a helluva show. So, there's that. Check em out would ya?

Photos For Friday

Stumbled upon a really cool photo site for you to check out. Feature Shoot is run by photographer, photo editor and curator Alison Zavos and showcases work from up-and-coming photographers alongside established photographers who have completed a project or whose work has taken on a new direction. The site covers commercial and fine art photography. Anyways, check it out. It's got some really awesome work.

Also check out Neil Krug's work: very cool.

Everybody Just Calm Down

Oh, I was just smelling - smiling. I was just blouse - browsing. I, uh, heh heh. Well, I guess it just wouldn't... Oh hee hee, it wouldn't be the Christmas shopping season if the stores were any less hooter than they - HOTTER than they are. Whew. It is warm in here, isn't it?

So everybody just take a breath regroup and dump some ice water on your head. After yesterday's post nearly shut down our servers, I think it's safe to say everyone needs to cool down since the best music video of all time was posted. The Negotiator commented that it blows "Call on Me" out of the water. I'm going to agree. If anybody needs me I'll be outside for the rest of the season...

This One's For Friendship

So the other day I got an email in my inbox from a dear friend. The subject was "If you don't post this on the most definitely we're no longer friends". I knew it was serious business. I opened the email with a mixture of fear, excitement and intrigue. I followed a link to a youtube video that words cannot do justice. In the interest of full disclosure I have gone back and forth about posting this for a minute now, not because I don't agree with it, but because I don't want to send the wrong message. But this whole thing isn't about me, it's bigger than me. It's about friendship. And loyalty. And honor. So, here it is. Only thing I can say is sexy.

Light The Wick

We don't often talk about skiing here on TMD. But that doesn't mean we don't respect it. A while back at the Deeper premiere I saw a trailer for Light The Wick and thought it looked like it could be most ridiculous ski film to date. A friend of mine said that had he seen this film rather than a snowboard film first, he would have started skiing and not snowboarding. That's a powerful statement in my book. Anyways, check this out. It looks insane-o.

And while you're at it, check out these other films. They are all supposed to be good.

These were taken back in August in Brooklyn. It was Thursday afternoon and it was warm.

I Blame Coco - Only Love Can Break Your Heart

Sorry I'm late. So every now and then, we fall asleep at the wheel here at the most definitely. This is one of those times. As I was sorting through the archives, I came across this gem I had every intention of sharing with our 2 readers back in October. But, alas, life got in the way. As my Dad once said though, "Don't look back, something might be gaining on you." With that in mind, I wanted to throw this up, if you haven't heard it yet, that's great. If you have, well, good for you. I Blame Coco comes to us from Tuscany, Italy. And while she may only be 20 years old, she's been making music for 5 years. Pretty impressive in my book. Anyways, sit back and if you haven't already, Blame Coco why don't you.

Surfing Pow In Utah

Thanks to Jose Fuego over at Potato Wave for sending this over. This is just a wonderful 10 minutes of film here. The word majestic comes to mind. I think I need to get one of these for myself. This looks like heaven.

Shaun White Men's Half Pipe Final Run

Dude wore a leather jacket and women's pants. I'm speechless.

Peter Bjorn & John - Second Chance

PB&J are back. And still got it. The boys from Stockholm are back with a vengeance for their 6th album Gimme Some due out March 29th. Second Chance picks up where they left off with Writer's Block and continues to keep it catchy and insanely fun. Enjoy.

Lupe Fiasco - Words I Never Said (Feat. Skylar Grey)

Lupe's got a new album coming out March 8th. This is the newest single. It's textbook. Solid beat, Lupe slays it. Getting a little political and religious on this one. I like it.

We Workin

From Tea & Strumpets via Smoke & Mirrors. Just a visually pleasing photo. Not much else to say. She looks ravishing in those shades though huh?
