Heavenly. First word that comes to mind when I stumbled across this one. Young Galaxy come to us from Vancouver, and they've been at it for a while. This one sticks with me. It's on repeat.

Germany Germany - Departure & Disconnect
Today is a exciting day. We had the pleasure of waking up to this little gem in our inbox. Drew Harris of Germany Germany fame is back from a self imposed hiatus. And he's got some tricks up his sleeve. We've got a couple tracks off his forthcoming album: Blank Mind Empty Heart for a little tease. I am thoroughly enjoying both tracks although Departure is more immediate. It has that dreamy, ethereal feel to it that instantly wisps you away to another place and time. I'm not quite sure what place and time it is, but it's comfortable and warm. Perfect for a chilly February Sunday.
Disconnect, on the other hand, makes you work for it. You've got to really listen. You won't be immediately drawn in like you are with Departure but you'll earn it though, and it's worth the wait as it builds and collects itself for a bold finish. Both tracks are beautiful in their own right. So please, give a listen and check out Germany Germany's bandcamp:

Class Actress - Keep You
Class Actress is out of Brooklyn with a sound that they described as stalker pop/ country club wave/ PLAYBOYPOP/ Prima Pop. Whatever you want to call it, it's definitely unique in its attempt to throwback to the days of Depeche Mode. It works.

Sleep Over - Romantic Streams
So we've caught a common theme in the past couple posts here. I'm sorry if I'm not mixing it up enough, but there has been a flood of dream pop and chillwave coming through the press room over here at headquarters and it can't be denied. Anyways, Austin, TX based Sleep Over is churning out some pretty heady dream pop. This is a pretty good example of that. It'll make you forget what time it is, and you'll feel pretty important listening to it. Cause it's smart. Check out their facebook page; it's super informative.

Teen Daze - Four More Years
From our newest writer, Joe Housel. Joe wrote up his first post yesterday with his review of the U2 Show at the Meadowlands. We are pleased to welcome Joe on board as a staff writer and look forward to hearing from him on a more regular basis. I got an email from him last night with his first 5 tracks that he wanted to review and this, while not the newest track, stuck with me. It's about a year old, but it's fantastic. I'm excited to see what else Joe is into and we should all look forward to hearing from him. This one reminds him of summer. I concur.
