Grouplove - Colours
If Yeasayer and The Presidents of The United States of America got too drunk one night and made some bad decisions and then, those bad decisions led to a new band, it would be Grouplove. And when I say bad decisions, I don't really mean bad decisions. I mean like when Vince Vaughn says "bad decisions" in Swingers kind of decisions. Anyways, take it for a spin. Extremely interesting video by the way.

So, I was searching for information about Grouplove this morning and I came across this post (and coincidentally) your awesome blog!
ReplyDeleteYour description of "bad decisions" made me chuckle, because the day before I had played this song to a friend and explained it as "they remind me of dirty hippies". My friend looked at me strangely and I was like "not in a bad way though, not like gross old hippies, but more like the real thing, that they are about real peace and love". Hmm don't know if she got it in the end. And I don't really know them all that well either, but I know how you feel about making people understand "bad decisions" as in this instance if this should happen it would have a good outcome. Same with me trying to make people understand "dirty hippies" are not bad.
Oh, here is some interesting info. Their cover (I am not sure if it is the album cover) looks so similar to The pains of being pure at heart's album cover Belong. Check it out on google.
